Aeonium is a genus of succulents native mainly to the Canary Islands, Madeira, “Green Aeonium” usually refers to species or hybrids that have bright green rosettes (such as Aeonium urbicum, Aeonium haworthii, or Aeonium ‘Kiwi’ in its greener phase).

They’re known for their rosette-shaped leaves, which can look almost like green roses or artichokes, and grow on thick, woody stems.

🌤️ General Characteristics

  • Growth form: Rosettes of fleshy leaves, sometimes forming small shrubs or clusters.
  • Color: Bright to lime green (some varieties may turn reddish or bronze under sun stress).
  • Height: Ranges from 4 inches to several feet tall, depending on the species.
  • Flowers: Produce clusters of small, star-shaped blooms (usually yellow or white).
  • Lifespan: Many are monocarpic—meaning the rosette that flowers will die afterward, but the plant often produces offsets first.

🌞 Care Tips

Light

  • Prefers bright, indirect sunlight or a few hours of direct morning sun.
  • Too much intense afternoon sun can cause leaf burn, while too little light leads to leggy growth.

Water

  • Unlike desert succulents, Aeoniums like more frequent watering (especially in active growth).
  • Water when the top inch of soil feels dry — but don’t let them sit in water.
  • During dormancy (often summer), reduce watering since they rest and may drop leaves.

Soil

  • Use well-draining cactus/succulent soil.
  • You can mix standard potting soil with perlite or coarse sand for better drainage.

Temperature

  • Thrive in mild climates (65–75°F / 18–24°C).
  • Sensitive to frost — bring indoors if it drops below 40°F (5°C).

Fertilizer

  • Feed lightly during the growing season (winter–spring) with a diluted succulent fertilizer.
  • Avoid fertilizing during summer dormancy.

🌿 Propagation

  • Stem cuttings: The easiest method. Cut a rosette with a few inches of stem, let it callous for 2–3 days, then plant in dry soil.
  • Offsets (“pups”): Remove and replant small rosettes growing at the base.

Used Watch?
Color: Black/Gray/Digital
The watch is great but the watch had been worn. The protective film was removed and it was loose in the watch box and not on the plastic holder. I bought a new watch not a used one. Joe

My last Timex and why.
Color: Black/Gray/Digital, Color: Black/Gray/Digital
New edit. Upon further reflection, I’ve only had, a couple of exploratory years with Swatch excepted, Timex watches. My first one was when my mother replaced the Chicita Banana “tickity tock” sticker with a real Timex wind up watch before my first Cub Scout camp. In addition to many other Timex products, I’ve had these Ironman watches for the past 25+years. Usually the band wears out and can’t be replaced after three or four years. This particular watch fell apart less than six weeks old. It wasn’t hit by impact. It just came apart while I was driving down the road. I wonder if they’ve changed their manufacturing process. See photo for details. What is truly infuriating is that rather than replacing it, because it is truly a warranty issue, the told me to ship it to their offshore repair facility (which could take 3-5 months) and pay what might be half the value of the watch. Things happen, but the intentional friction they have created to avoid their obligations borders on malpractice and speaks to their indifference toward customer experience and subsequent lifetime value.
