Aglaonema vittatum 'Pinwheel' is a very rare miniature cultivar from Japan, distinguished by its compact growth habit and tightly overlapping leaves. The lanceolate foliage features a central white stripe along the midrib, contrasting with the deep green leaf surface. This dense leaf arrangement contributes to its unique appearance.

Native to: The species Aglaonema vittatum originates from eastern Sumatra and the Lingga Archipelago in Indonesia, where it thrives in primary rainforests at elevations up to 600 metres.

Water: Maintain evenly moist soil during the growing season, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. In the autumn and winter months, reduce watering frequency to prevent waterlogging and root rot.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it can scorch the leaves. Variegated forms may require more light to maintain their leaf patterns.

Humidity: Thrives in high humidity environments. Regular misting or placing the plant on a tray with moist pebbles can help maintain adequate humidity levels. Given its preference for elevated humidity, this cultivar is well-suited for terrarium settings.

Temperature: Optimal growth occurs between 20°C and 25°C. Temperatures should not fall below 16°C, and sudden temperature fluctuations should be avoided to prevent stress.
