The Kennedy Dresser brings a measured elegance to the bedroom or living space through its considered proportions and restrained material palette. At 48 inches wide, it occupies a wall with presence without demanding attention, making it equally at home anchoring a primary suite or serving as a sophisticated console in an entry. The piece centers on a faux shagreen surface in Castor Gray, a material that catches light subtly as you move past it, revealing texture without gloss.

This tactile quality distinguishes it from typical case goods and invites the eye to linger. The raised walnut veneer border frames the composition with warmth, creating a visual boundary that grounds the form and echoes mid-century design principles where materials were allowed to speak for themselves. Three self-closing drawers provide thoughtful storage without visual clutter. The soft-close mechanism ensures quiet operation and protects the piece from the wear of daily use, a detail that extends longevity and reflects the craftsmanship embedded in the design.

Made Goods has engineered this dresser for spaces where restraint and quality matter. The combination of faux shagreen and walnut veneer suggests a designer's hand without announcing itself. This is furniture that settles into a room over time, becoming essential rather than decorative. It works alongside minimalist interiors, layered traditional spaces, or anywhere the emphasis falls on materials and proportion rather than ornament.

SQL qsg book
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
I've taken a couple classes on SQL some time ago and was looking for a book to go over basics. This is a perfect book to start with the basics of understanding how to write a SQL query. I really liked that there is a free database to use in SQLite to follow along with the examples in the book. That was very helpful for me. I appreciated the tips throughout the chapters and the practice questions at the end. Easy to read and follow.

This is a good very distant overview
Format: Paperback
Sometimes I need a really simplistic overview of an entire subject before I feel comfortable sitting down to learn it. Like if you are going to learn about, say, 13th Century France you might want to know just a little about the major issues of the entire century before sitting down with a text book. This book is good for that. It's short, it gets you started with the main keywords, and at the end you have a good picture of what the language can do. And you can get to the end in a day or two. It's very well written, well organized, clear, and very very limited in scope. But if you read it, you will be in good shape to start getting down to business with working with SQL with a more advanced text. This book, in my opinion, was well worth the money and the read even though ultimately I turned to something far more advanced.

Does a good job, but too much philosophy.
Format: Kindle
I'm about halfway through this book. I have a condition that makes it hard to read. This book does a good job of teaching SQLite but spends too much time stressing the importance of comments and style. I agree, that these things are important, however, not to the audience of the book. The reader would have been better served by getting into the grit of SQL syntax and which keywords to use when versus ensuring that every query had a comment block with name, date, and description. Moreover, requiring every reader to download a prewritten database to work from and special utilities to follow along takes away from the learning experience. That said, you will learn the basics about SQLite, and by the end of the book be able to handle most problems you'll encounter when developing an application.
